The morning prayer : a routine beyond the cult

Octobre 2014, The Drama School Mumbai

This month, we had been following the Drama School Mumbai's students and teachers, a drama school in the heart of Mumbai.

Courses take place Monday to Friday from 8:00am to at least 5:00pm, and on Saturday from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Each day, two students have to come half an hour before the begining of the lessons to clean the working room. Meanwhile, the others trickle in, warm up individually, without hindering them too much, and all are having a good time...

And at 7:55am, everyday perfectly on time, the students form a circle to pray God Shiva. All practice different religions, mainly part of Hinduism.

« Apart the religious nature of the moment, it's a ritual, an habit which allows us to focus on the lessons of the day. Some of us take the public transportation to come, so they need relieve stress, from the local train for example. »
